Azeitão skatepark

Located next to the Mercado Mensal de Azeitão, this compact concrete skatepark forms part of the Azeitão Bacalhôa Parque II, a four-hectare extension of the existing park developed to provide new recreational facilities for the local community. The skatepark was built and opened in 2021, alongside a street-basketball court and slide.

The park has a simple flow-oriented concrete layout, centred around a small bowl with a volcano, spine, quarterpipe and wallride. Despite its modest size, the curved terrain gives the park considerably more possibilities than a basic modular setup.

The project was delivered through a partnership between the Municipality of Setúbal and the Junta de Freguesia de Azeitão, with the new facilities officially available to the public by September 2021. Municipal records list the Skate Parque de Azeitão as a 2021 project with an investment of €79,950.

The location is particularly convenient for visitors, sitting directly beside the monthly market and with pedestrian access from the surrounding park. The municipality continues to identify the skatepark as part of the Azeitão Bacalhôa Parque's recreational facilities.
