The 3 Musketears Skatepark, located within the Canada Summit Centre in Huntsville, Ontario, is a 10,000-square-foot facility that serves as the premier action sports destination for the Muskoka region. This project was designed and built by New Line Skateparks in 2013. The park’s name serves as a moving tribute to three local youths—Logan, James, and Justin—whose memory helped galvanize the community to replace an aging, modular park with a world-class concrete landmark.
The design is a "technical flow" plaza that emphasizes a mix of smooth transitions and urban-style obstacles. The park is anchored by a versatile "clamshell" flow bowl with varying depths and rhythmic hips, which provides the speed necessary to navigate the rest of the facility. This transition zone feeds into a comprehensive street section featuring granite-capped hubba ledges, flat rails, manual pads, and a signature "kinked" ledge. The layout is engineered for "infinite lines," utilizing perimeter quarter pipes and banks as return walls, allowing riders to maintain momentum without constant pushing.
Constructed to endure the extreme temperature fluctuations of the Muskoka Highlands, the park utilizes high-strength, smooth-troweled concrete and heavy-duty steel edging. The facility is fully integrated into the Canada Summit Centre grounds, providing easy access to indoor amenities and spectator seating. The design also incorporates aesthetic touches that reflect the natural beauty of the surrounding area, including landscaped "green islands" that break up the concrete. Today, the 3 Musketears Skatepark is a central social hub for the Huntsville community, celebrated for its high build quality and its role in fostering a positive, active environment for local youth.
