The completion of the Wombridge Skatepark marks a full-circle moment for Clark & Kent Contractors. Having built the popular Wombridge BMX pump track on the upper section of the site back in 2014, they were eager to return and transform the aging tarmac bowl into a state-of-the-art concrete facility for Telford & Wrekin Council.
The new park is a key part of the council’s wider regeneration of local play facilities and green spaces, specifically designed to encourage a new generation of young people to get active through skateboarding and BMX. The replacement of the old, unsafe tarmac bowl was delivered on time and within the original budget, providing the town with a durable, low-maintenance asset for years to come.
