Whitby Pump Track is an all-weather surfaced pump track on West Cliff, immediately beside Whitby's existing skatepark and Pitch & Putt. The project was driven by Whitby Pumptrack CIC and developed as a community facility after the town council backed the proposal. Planning approval was granted in December 2024.
The track consists of a wider outer circuit and two smaller inner circuits, with a series of berms and rollers designed to be ridden continuously using pumping rather than pedalling. North Yorkshire Council awarded the £43,368 construction contract to Rose Engineering (Whitby) Ltd, with construction scheduled for early 2025 and the completed track maintained by the council.
