Waltham Cross skatepark

Waltham Cross Skatepark, located in Waltham Cross Playing Fields, Hertfordshire (postcode EN8 7LX), is a modern facility catering to skateboarding, BMX, WCMX, and scooter enthusiasts. The original skatepark, featuring metal-framed ramps with Skatelite surfaces on a tarmac base, was supplied by Rhino ramps. In 2023, as part of the Government's Levelling Up Fund aimed at enhancing local amenities, the Borough of Broxbourne Council commissioned Maverick Industries to design and construct a state-of-the-art, floodlit concrete skatepark. Construction commenced in July 2023 and concluded by October of the same year. The upgraded facility officially opened on July 20, 2024, celebrated with a launch event featuring music, rider demonstrations, competitions, and family-friendly activities. The skatepark has since become a vibrant hub for the local community, accommodating users of all skill levels and contributing positively to public health and well-being.
