Transition Extreme is an adventure sports complex offering a range of indoor and outdoor facilities, from climbing walls and zip wires to a thriving indoor skatepark. When its existing pump track fell short — having deteriorated due to inadequate original specifications — VelosolutionsUK were brought in to design and build something worthy of the venue.
The challenge was delivering a world-class track within a constrained footprint. The design makes intelligent use of every available metre, with 180° berms maximising track length and a layout that keeps the riding varied and engaging throughout. A dedicated 55m beginner track sits alongside the main 185m circuit, giving younger and less experienced riders a space to develop fundamental pumping skills before stepping up to the full track.
The design also nods to the venue's strong skateboarding community. Features such as a double berm and curved straights translate naturally for skaters, making the track genuinely welcoming to riders crossing over from the indoor skatepark.
Built by VelosolutionsUK in 2023, the finished facility reflects both the ambition of the venue and the variety of its community.
