Located on Sawmillfield Street just north of Glasgow's city center, The Arches DIY is widely considered one of Scotland’s premier grassroots, community-built skate spots. The park is built within the roofless ruins of a Victorian-era industrial building (historically linked to a Cleansing Department and old sawmills). Before skaters took it over, the site was completely derelict, choked with debris, and overgrown—you couldn't even see that there was a concrete floor underneath.
