The project started with local young people and their families, who proposed a skatepark during Teià's first participatory budgeting process in 2018. The proposal finished sixth and wasn't initially selected, but the municipality subsequently committed to building it using its ordinary budget.
Local skaters were directly involved in defining what the park should contain, with the design session facilitated by Vulcano Skateparks. The resulting park was conceived as a flow park, with organic shapes allowing riders to generate speed from different parts of the layout. It includes a half, pool and quarters for transition riders, while the street section features a pyramid, manual pads, rainbows and three types of coping: no coping, steel coping and pool coping.
Construction began on 6 November 2023, and the finished park was opened to the public around the start of the Christmas holidays. Its official inauguration took place on 23 December 2023, with a jam session attended by dozens of skaters and scooter riders.
