The skatepark was part of a popular temporary urban art, culture, and sports project called "Sugar Mountain," which transformed a 7,500 m² former concrete factory yard into a vibrant community space. Because it was always planned as an interim-use project (Zwischennutzung) before the land was repurposed for a new housing development, the entire cultural center officially closed its doors at the end of 2024. The skatepark and surrounding sports facilities have since been dismantled to make way for construction.
During its operation from 2021 to 2024, the skatepark featured a 650 m² smooth concrete surface equipped with quarter pipes, a grind ledge, flat rails, and distinctively painted concrete bumps. The colorful park was highly popular among local beginners and intermediate skaters, sitting right alongside basketball courts, a bouldering wall, a beach volleyball court, and an outdoor beer garden. The skatepark was built by Goodcrete.
