Built by A|Park (the former Academia dos Patins) in 2023, the new Sines Skatepark is located inside Parque Desportivo Municipal João Martins, close to the centre of Sines. Covering approximately 890 m², the park was officially inaugurated on 23 March 2024 following an investment of around €156,000 by the Municipality of Sines.
The modular wooden park combines a street section with a bowl, offering a varied selection of obstacles including quarter pipes of different heights, a grind box, curbs, handrails, a start box, spine, kicker and jump features. The layout was designed to accommodate skateboarding, BMX and inline skating, with areas suitable for both beginners and more advanced riders.
A | Park was responsible for the design and construction, working with athletes during the project to develop a layout capable of supporting training as well as future competitions and events. The park forms part of Sines's wider municipal sports complex and provides the city with a dedicated public facility for wheeled sports.

Disappointed with this park. Bowl doesn't have much flow and difficult to find a decent line. Too bad all the ramps are the same hight at the street section. They forgot the beginners in the design of this park.
