Located at the foot of the São Jorge Castle at Praça Martim Moniz, this massive multicultural plaza is one of the most high-energy street spots in Lisbon. Acting as the gateway to the Mouraria and Anjos districts, Martim Moniz is a sprawling urban space that offers a variety of terrain levels, making it a favorite for skaters who like to mix technical ledge work with stair sets.
The plaza is designed on multiple planes, creating a natural flow of obstacles. It is a pure street spot where the architecture provides everything a skater needs without being an "official" park.
Metro: Martim Moniz Station (Green Line) is located directly beneath the plaza. Several exits lead you straight onto the various levels of the spot.
Tram: This is the starting point for the world-famous Tram 28, making it an easy landmark to find from anywhere in the historic center.
Bus: A major transit hub, with lines like the 708, 734, and 760 stopping right on the square, connecting you to the rest of the city.
Car: There is a large underground public parking garage (Parque Martim Moniz) situated directly under the plaza.
