ABOUT SKATEPARK

Pizzey Park Skatepark

From humble origins to olympic skatepark, Pizzey Park Skatepark is a nice concrete skatepark that has something for everyone whether you're a rookie or a more experienced skater. In 1969 the Pizzey Park Sporting Complex was officially opened. In 1987 the parks first skate bowl was added, constructed by a local swimming pool builder. Although quite gnarly it is still skated today. In 1989 Tony Hawk and the Powell-Peralta Bones Brigade put Pizzey Park Skatepark on the world map when they skated there.

The skate park has undergone many expansions, and now features different bowls, stairs, ledges and rails. Pizzey park skatepark was upgraded to Olympic standards covering 3000 square meters by Convic Skateparks.
