The Skatepark ODP Karlsruhe, located on the edge of the Otto-Dullenkopf-Park between Ostring and Schlachthausstraße, is a premier destination for experienced riders of skateboards, inline skates, and BMX bikes. Opened in spring 2016, the skatepark spans approximately 1,000 square meters and was designed with input from the local skating community. The design and construction were carried out by DSGN CONCEPTS, who collaborated closely with skaters, BMX riders, and inline skaters to create a cohesive and challenging environment.
An interesting aesthetic feature of the park is the incorporation of colors typical to the region, with elements and ramps painted in red/brown and sand tones. Additionally, a double shadow gap runs through the facility, inspired by a popular street spot in Karlsruhe.
