Opened in November 2024, Nisa Skatepark is a new concrete skate facility created through the redevelopment of the former Horta do Parreirão in the Bairro das Amoreiras, next to the municipal swimming pools. The project transformed a previously abandoned area into a new recreational and sporting space for the municipality. The municipality describes the park as deliberately different from standardised skateparks, incorporating the surrounding landscape into the design. Existing walls, planting areas and urban elements are integrated into the facility, giving the park a more individual character rather than simply reproducing a conventional modular layout.
The project was formally tendered in 2023 and completed in 2024, with the new Skate Park officially inaugurated on 8 November 2024. The municipality records the contracted value at €232,642.15.
The specialist skatepark builder has not yet been identified in the publicly accessible documents.
