When Clark & Kent Contractors took on the Newhaven Skatepark project, the mission went beyond just pouring concrete. The goal was to transform a site with "adverse conditions" into a community landmark, balancing high-spec technical design with a unique commitment to sustainability and repurposing.
In just eight weeks, the team delivered a modern facility that bridges the gap between old-school heritage and contemporary performance.
One of the most standout elements of the Newhaven build was Clark & Kent’s approach to the existing site. Rather than sending the old equipment to a landfill, the team performed a sympathetic removal and modest refurbishment of the original ramps. These refurbished ramps were gifted and installed at another nearby community project free of charge, ensuring the equipment continued to provide play value elsewhere.
