The Murfreesboro Skate Park and Pump Track at Old Fort Park represents the culmination of years of dedicated vision-casting and community advocacy. Officially opened in the summer of 2024, this landmark facility was designed by Griggs & Maloney in collaboration with New Line Skateparks, and built by New Line Skateparks. The project transformed an underutilized parking area into a high-energy recreational hub, a feat made possible through a strategic partnership between the City of Murfreesboro, local enthusiasts, and organizations like MOAB Bike Shop, who helped facilitate essential public design workshops.

The park is a masterfully balanced all-wheel destination, harmonizing a technical streetscape-style concrete section with versatile transition terrain. A standout feature is the integrated pump track, which offers a winding, rhythmic experience for BMX riders, skaters, and scooter users alike. Surrounded by thoughtfully preserved green space, the design prioritizes both performance and community atmosphere, providing a safe and inclusive environment for riders of all skill levels. As a vibrant new addition to the growing Murfreesboro landscape, the park stands as a testament to the power of community feedback and modern urban design, serving as a primary gathering spot for the region’s action sports community for years to come.
