Mallow Skatepark is a modern concrete skatepark located on Park Road within Mallow Town Park in County Cork, Ireland. Built in 2023, the facility was commissioned by Cork County Council and officially opened in October 2023. Vulcano Skateparks was responsible for the skatepark design, while the construction was delivered by Browne Bros Site Services Ltd.
The skatepark forms part of a wider regeneration of Mallow Town Park, which also included improvements to the surrounding landscape, playground facilities, pathways and other recreational amenities. The project was developed to provide a dedicated outdoor facility for teenagers, young adults and the wider wheeled-sports community.
The layout combines flow and street riding, with ramps, bowls, rails and street obstacles arranged to create a variety of lines. The concrete design provides a mixture of transitions and technical features suitable for skateboarders, BMX riders, scooter riders and roller skaters.
The project received €150,000 in funding through the Sports Capital & Equipment Programme, with additional investment from Cork County Council. Its opening in 2023 marked an important addition to Mallow's recreational infrastructure and provided the first dedicated skatepark in North Cork.
Located within Mallow Town Park and close to the River Blackwater, the skatepark is part of a broader network of public recreational spaces connecting the town centre with Mallow Castle and surrounding parkland.
