Luciana Park Skatepark, also known as Koolambidi Woola, is a large modern concrete skatepark forming the centrepiece of Bunbury’s waterfront youth precinct. The park combines a deep flow bowl and transition sections with an extensive street course featuring banks, ledges, rails, manual pads, pyramids, gaps and other street obstacles. The layout also includes accessible transition points between different zones, making the skatepark suitable for a wide range of riders.
The skatepark was designed by Playce in collaboration with Baseplate and constructed by Advanteering Civil Engineers. The wider youth precinct was built between September 2021 and June 2022, with Koolambidi Woola officially opened in 2022. Geographe Civil also contributed to the project.
The project grew out of a long-running local campaign for a new skatepark, with the Luciana Park location selected following extensive community consultation. Today the precinct also includes parkour areas, a multi-sports court, mini golf, climbing facilities, event spaces and youth services, making it much more than just a skatepark.
