Located in the heart of Tikkurila as an integral feature of Vantaa's Library Park, this compact 175-square-meter concrete skate bowl adds a dynamic, active energy to the surrounding public space. Built in the spring of 2017 by Concreteproof as a construction subcontract for VRJ Etelä-Suomi Oy under the City of Vantaa, the bowl was masterfully designed by world-renowned skate park designer Janne Saario Landscape Architecture.
The bowl features a versatile layout with distinct shallow and deep ends connected by a central speed bump, allowing riders to effortlessly maintain momentum and fluidly line up tricks. Its intuitive geometry makes it exceptionally welcoming for beginners developing their transition skills while still providing enough speed and technical depth to challenge seasoned skaters. Since its completion, the Library Park bowl has become a vibrant community hub, drawing constant use from both local residents and skateboarders throughout the region.
