Launceston Skatepark is a modern spray-concrete, street-focused skatepark at Coronation Park, next to Launceston Community Leisure Centre in Cornwall. The park was commissioned by Launceston Town Council as a replacement for the town's former skate facility, with the project developed through consultation with local residents, skaters, schools and youth groups. Designed and built by Betongpark, the park takes a plaza-style approach and is designed around a circular loop, allowing riders to continuously flow around the main layout as well as use several back-and-forth lines. The design also responds to the existing landscape, boundaries and access points around the site rather than treating the skatepark as an isolated facility.
The layout includes a volcano, statement wall ride, kicker leading into a central street pad, driveway, rails, ledges, quarters and banks. A street basketball court is incorporated alongside the skatepark, helping the project function as part of a wider public recreational space.
The project was awarded to Betongpark through a competitive procurement process, with a contract value of approximately £200,000. Construction was scheduled between May 2023 and July 2024. Located within Coronation Park, the skatepark forms part of a wider community leisure environment alongside the leisure centre and other recreational facilities.
