Av. el Marinero, 27, 35560 La Santa, Las Palmas, Spain
La Santa Skatepark is a modern concrete bowl park located on Avenida del Marinero in La Santa, a coastal village in the municipality of Tinajo on Lanzarote, Canary Islands. Designed and constructed by Vulcano Skateparks in 2023, the park occupies approximately 487 m² and includes a large 265 m² bowl. The project was developed through cooperation between the Ayuntamiento de Tinajo and the Cabildo de Lanzarote.
The park was created following a long-standing demand from local young people. The project originated in 2020 through a participatory process involving children, teenagers and youth from the municipality, with local skaters, surfers and skate schools also contributing to the development of the facility.
Designed primarily around flow and transition, the concrete layout combines a substantial bowl with ramps, rails and street-oriented features. The park was intended for skateboarding and surfskating, while also accommodating BMX and roller riding.
Its location gives La Santa Skatepark a particularly strong identity. Situated in one of Lanzarote's best-known surf areas and close to the famous El Quemao surf spot, the park connects the island's skateboarding culture with its established surf scene. It provides a dedicated public facility in an area where young people had been requesting a skatepark for several years.
Construction began in 2023 and the finished facility was received by the municipality in October of that year. Today, the park serves both the local community and visitors to La Santa, offering a compact concrete facility with a strong emphasis on bowl and flow riding.
