ABOUT SKATEPARK

Kasterleepark skatepark

Kasterleepark skatepark is a compact 100 m² concrete miniramp integrated into the hilly landscape of Kasterleepark in Amsterdam. The project was commissioned by the Municipality of Amsterdam as part of the redevelopment of the park.

The skatepark was designed and built by Mud Crew and opened on 4 April 2025. The halfpipe-style design features two quarters at either end, creating a continuous line that allows skaters to keep flowing through the ramp. Its generous width provides extra room for practising grinds, slides and other tricks.

Mud Crew designed the ramp to work with the existing hills rather than against them. By placing the transition within the landscape, the design helps reduce noise for the surrounding neighbourhood while creating a compact but challenging local skate spot. Giekspoor was involved as a project partner.
