This project breathes new life into the raw, industrial space beneath Bratislava’s legendary SNP Bridge. By utilizing the bridge's massive concrete structure, the park serves as a sheltered urban oasis that follows the natural linearity of the pillars and the riverbank. Its central location—sandwiched between the city core, the Danube, and the local park—creates a unique athletic hub for the entire community.
The design is cleverly segmented into three zones by the bridge's original pillars, which naturally frame the main obstacles. A sleek granite curb separates the park from the pedestrian and cycle paths, doubling as a functional street skating element. To ensure the session never stops, the original bridge lighting was fully restored for night riding, while newly integrated tiered seating provides a perfect spot for users to rest and recharge.
Completing this international build over four months was a massive milestone. This project was a true collaboration, and Bonidee Skateparks owes a huge thank you to our dedicated crew and our partners from Poland, Hungary, and Slovakia Sketon Skateparks for helping us bring this vision to life.
