Irun Skatepark on Elizatxo Hiribidea is a compact modular skatepark built by SpokoRamps. SpokoRamps' own project page identifies the location and dates its project to July 2022. The project was initially planned with prefabricated modules, but SpokoRamps proposed a different approach using in-situ concrete construction.
The layout is a simple, street-oriented setup featuring a quarter, bank, pyramid, box and handrail. SpokoRamps notes that the design was based on a proposal from the client rather than being independently designed by SpokoRamps.
There is some important history at this location: Irun already had a much larger skatepark at Santiago, opened in 2010, which was designed and constructed by Gestalt and covered approximately 2,094 m². The Elizatxo Hiribidea facility is therefore a separate, later skatepark, rather than the original Santiago park.
