The Mississauga Youth Park (commonly known as the Iceland Skatepark), located in Mississauga, Ontario, represents an innovative municipal approach to youth recreation. Completed in 2002 and designed and constructed by New Line Skateparks, the project was a collaborative effort between the City and local youth to ensure the facility met the community's specific needs.
To manage development effectively, the park was planned and built-out in two distinct phases over a two-year period, resulting in a comprehensive street area and a dedicated bowl unit. As a fully integrated recreational hub, the facility is equipped with full lighting for evening sessions and features a basketball court addition. For over two decades, this park has served as a cornerstone of the Mississauga action sports scene, providing a creative and safe environment for local riders to progress.
