Horsham Skatepark is a large modern concrete skatepark located within Horsham Park, West Sussex. The new facility opened in December 2022, replacing the former wooden skatepark that had occupied the site for around 20 years. It was designed and built by Betongpark in close collaboration with a local group of skateboarders, BMX riders, scooter riders and inline skaters. The design takes strong inspiration from Horsham's long-standing BMX community, with Betongpark describing the park as an unapologetic transition-focused destination built around flow, speed and air. It is their largest transition park in the UK.
The main riding area features a large open flow bowl with a pronounced hip, extension and jump-ramp line, plus a central pump bump that allows riders to maintain speed through the bowl. A second open bowl reaches heights of up to 7 ft 6 in, providing larger transitions for experienced BMX riders and skaters. A redesigned teardrop section incorporates an extended stair set with additional steps, rail and hubbas. At the rear of the park, a fully concrete street plaza provides a different style of riding, with a specially designed rail, flat ledge, manual pad, quarter pipe and flat bank.
The park was developed through extensive consultation with local users, ensuring that the new facility retained elements of the much-loved original park while introducing a more durable and technically advanced concrete layout. The result is a multi-discipline facility designed for skateboarding, BMX, scooters and inline skating, with features ranging from approachable beginner lines to substantial transitions for experienced riders. Set within the wider green space of Horsham Park, the skatepark is easily accessible from the town centre and public transport, with the nearest major car park at Pavilions in the Park.
