Trucks and Fins is a huge present to the whole skate community - not just for the skating people, but also for shops, builders and schools. Super easy to use and can't believe how complete it is.

The High Point Action Sports Park, located at 855 West Whitehall Road in State College, Pennsylvania, is a state-of-the-art public facility that serves as a core recreational destination for the regional wheeled sports community. The park represents the realization of a community effort initiated by local action sports advocates, including BMX legend Jamie Bestwick, who first proposed the idea to regional committees. After years of logistical coordination, funding procurement, and site selection, construction commenced on the former site of an unused baseball field at High Point Park, culminating in the facility's official grand opening ribbon-cutting ceremony on May 29, 2026. The 20,000-square-foot concrete facility was built by New Line Skateparks, a globally recognized specialty municipal skatepark construction firm, with additional local site work executed by WG Land Company. The layout was conceptually designed by professional skateboarder and State College native Jake Johnson alongside his father, Tim Johnson, a Penn State professor emeritus of landscape architecture, before New Line Skateparks finalized the technical blueprint and construction plans. A wholly unique feature of the street plaza infrastructure is the integration of salvaged pieces of authentic granite from New York City, which Jake Johnson personally acquired and stored for years specifically to incorporate into his hometown park. Skidmark Parks also contributed to the physical realization of the space and provided specialized input throughout the design process.
