The Heartsease Skatepark is located at 232 Sale Rd, Norwich NR7 9TT, United Kingdom (situated within the Heartsease Recreation Ground). Delivered as part of Norwich City Council's wider skatepark upgrade program, the facility was designed and constructed by specialist builder Betongpark and officially opened in February 2026. The facility features a authentic kidney-shaped concrete pool inspired by the origins of backyard pool skating in drained Southern California swimming pools. The bowl is detailed with bespoke terracotta pool coping blocks by CLINKER, custom pool entry steps, and a deathbox feature. The surrounding site incorporates a purpose-built shelter with integrated concrete seating for resting and socializing.
The surrounding Heartsease Recreation Ground offers expansive open green fields, outdoor play facilities, and paved pathways ideal for casual flat-ground riding. A short drive west leads into historic Norwich City Centre, famous for its medieval cobblestone streets, the towering 11th-century Norwich Cathedral, and the historic Norwich Market—one of the largest open-air markets in the UK.
