Gelenberg skatepark is a compact concrete skatepark located at Sportpark De Gelenberg in Afferden, near Druten. The park replaced an older halfpipe that had to make way for the construction of the new sports complex. The new facility was developed with input from local young people, who helped determine which elements and features should be included in the design.
The park was designed and built by Mud Crew, with the layout created to work for both beginners and more experienced skaters. Its compact design includes a variety of banks, quarters, rails, ledges and a distinctive recessed bowl-like section in the centre. Construction was completed in November 2023, and the park was opened for public use on 27 December 2023 after passing its safety inspection.
