Gavà Mar Skatepark is a compact concrete skatepark located near the beach in Gavà Mar, Barcelona. The current park was completed in June 2022 by CopinRamps for the Ajuntament de Gavà, replacing an older prefabricated skatepark that had served the local community for many years. Covering approximately 300 m², the park has an unusual organic design inspired by the shape of an oil stain. Rather than following the traditional rectangular skatepark layout, the concrete bowl follows the natural geometry of the site, with different elevations and flowing curves integrated into the surrounding landscape.
The partially open bowl allows riders to use both the interior and perimeter of the structure, creating several possible lines. Its relatively shallow and accessible design makes it suitable for beginners while still providing flowing terrain for more experienced riders.
The current park represents the second generation of skate infrastructure at Gavà Mar. The original facility was created following a campaign by local young skaters in the mid-2000s, but was eventually replaced by this purpose-built concrete park in 2022.
