The Garrison Skatepark in downtown Fredericton is a destination-level facility that officially opened in September 2021, marking the culmination of nearly two decades of community advocacy and dreaming. This 15,300-square-foot concrete park was designed and built by New Line Skateparks in a close collaborative effort with the City of Fredericton and the local all-wheel community. Located in the historic Garrison District along St. Anne’s Point Boulevard and the St. John River, the $1.4 million project has successfully transformed a central urban space into a high-energy social hub.
The park is renowned for its industry-leading craftsmanship and features a diverse layout that caters to riders of all ages and abilities. It boasts a world-class street plaza terrain, a large enclosed bowl complex with three distinct levels ranging from 4.5 to 8.5 feet, and a one-of-a-kind "organic flow zone"—one of only a handful of its kind in Canada. Beyond the riding surfaces, the design includes dedicated viewing areas and compelling hardscape configurations that mirror the textures and colors of the surrounding historic district.
