Trucks and Fins is a huge present to the whole skate community - not just for the skating people, but also for shops, builders and schools. Super easy to use and can't believe how complete it is.

Set in a peaceful fishing village on Sri Lanka’s south coast, Gaia Soul is a community-focused hideaway built for surfers, skaters, and slow travelers looking to escape the tourist bubble. Steps from the beach, days here move effortlessly from the waves to the yoga shala to the halfpipe. The onsite skate ramp serves as the ultimate gathering spot where locals, travelers, beginners, and seasoned pros ride together. This intimate stay offers only a handful of rooms, ensuring an authentic, uncrowded atmosphere where guests naturally become friends.
I'll admit upfront that I'm probably not the most impartial person to review Gaia Soul Skatepark - because I built it. So yeah, I could be biased ;-) BUT I also built the kind of skatepark I always wished existed when travelling: a place where skateboarding isn't just an amenity - It's the reason the place exists. Think of Gaia Soul as your base for skating Sri Lanka's south coast. Warm up on our concrete halfpipe - whippy and fun for airs, handplants, and flowing lines. Our skatepark has the only bank to curb combo, vert quarter-pipe, and slappy curb on the whole friggin island (not to mention a long-ass ledge). From here, it’s easy to hit nearby spots, then come back to skate your own as the sun drops. Sunset sessions bring locals and travelers together - come roll through! The rowdiest sessions happen on Friday evenings when local skaters and travellers come together to skate until sunset. There's no entry fee, no pressure, and no ego, just good people, good vibes, and plenty of stoke. If you're travelling through Sri Lanka with a skateboard, don't think of Gaia Soul as a guesthouse with a skatepark. Think of it as a skatepark with a guesthouse wrapped around it.
