Trucks and Fins is a huge present to the whole skate community - not just for the skating people, but also for shops, builders and schools. Super easy to use and can't believe how complete it is.

The Life Park in Detmold, Germany, is a comprehensive outdoor sports facility that opened in June 2024. Located at Sprottauer Straße 10, behind the parking lot of the Geschwister-Scholl-Gesamtschule.
The park boasts a large concrete skatepark featuring two bowls and various street features. The smaller bowl has a transition height of approximately 1.3 meters, while the larger bowl reaches up to 1.65 meters and includes a 1.5-meter mini-ramp. The skate plaza is equipped with ledges, downledges, China banks, multiple stair sets (including 2-, 3-, and double-steps), rails, and manual pads.
The Life Park operates daily from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM and is free for public use. It was generously funded by local entrepreneur Phillip Schlossstein, with the project costing approximately three million euros. The park's design incorporates organic forms and a vibrant color scheme of reds, oranges, and yellows, aiming to inspire movement and community engagement.
For those interested in visiting, the park is approximately a 10-minute skateboard ride from the Detmold train station via Bach-Straße. Bus lines 702 and 706 stop at Sprottauer Straße, and lines 701 and 750 stop at Braunenbruch, providing convenient access to the facility. The skatepark was built by Yamato Living Ramps and designed by DSGN CONCEPTS.
