Skatepark De Sluis is a long-established skatepark located beside the Julianasluis on the Sluiseiland in Korte Akkeren, Gouda. The original facility had become heavily outdated, leading local skaters and Stichting Skatepark Gouda to campaign for a complete renewal. Plans for a new park began taking shape in the early 2020s, with the municipality, SPORT GOUDA and the local skate community working together on the project. By 2023, funding and development had progressed, including support from the Goudse Betonmortel Centrale and a €75,000 private donation.
The original skatepark was completely demolished in December 2025 rather than simply refurbished. Nine Yards Skatepark Co. was selected to design and build an entirely new concrete facility, with construction beginning in January 2026. The new park was completed in summer 2026 and officially opened on 29 August 2026.
