ABOUT SKATEPARK

Dave Armstrong Extreme Park

Located in the heart of Louisville’s vibrant Butchertown neighborhood near downtown, the David Armstrong Extreme Park (formerly known as the Louisville Extreme Park) stands as one of the premier public extreme sports destinations in the United States. Sprawling across a massive 40,000 square feet of smooth, poured-in-place outdoor concrete, this world-class civic asset caters to skateboarders, BMX riders, and inline skaters of all ages and skill levels.

Originally opened in 2002 and completely revitalized and redesigned in 2015, the park famously put Louisville on the action sports map when it was featured on Tony Hawk’s Gigantic Skatepark Tour. It delivers a flawless architectural balance of street-style, transition, and massive vertical terrain.
