ABOUT SKATEPARK

Chehalis Tribe skatepark

Chehalis Tribe Skatepark is a 10,000-square-foot cast-in-place concrete skatepark located at the Chehalis Tribe Community Center in Oakville, Washington. Designed and built by Grindline Skateparks, the facility was completed in 2024 in close collaboration with the Confederated Tribes of the Chehalis Reservation and the local community. The layout draws inspiration from the Chehalis River basin, combining flowing lines and open sightlines with two bowls and a street section featuring banks, quarterpipes, a concrete ledge and flat rail. The park's design incorporates cultural elements throughout, including blue stained-concrete waterways, red and black tile bands reflecting Tribal colors, a traditional basket motif, salmon imagery and Lushootseed language. The facility was also engineered to accommodate a future roof structure, with foundations and embedded hardware installed during construction. Located beside the Community Center's ball courts and playground, Chehalis Tribe Skatepark provides a distinctive community recreation space where skateboarding, cultural identity and local heritage come together.
