Centennial park skatepark is a 14,000 square foot concrete park made up of two bowls and a street section. Grindline skateparks was hired to design and help build the park that opened early 2021. This park is the result of a community effort spearheaded by the volunteer group, Friends of Salida Skateparks, who spent 1,5 years building community support through grassroots fundraising. Friends of Salida Skateparks donated $25,000 towards the design and construction costs and the SkateparkProject awarded another $10,000 to the City of Salida as well. The skatepark is located within the larger Centennial Park and is located next to the Salida Hot Springs Aquatic Center. At the park you’ll find picnic tables, shaded picnic area, a playground, restrooms and sand volleyball courts.
