Calella Skatepark is a modern concrete street plaza located at Plaça del Parlament de Catalunya, directly in front of Institut Bisbe Sivilla. The project was developed after the skatepark proposal won Calella's 2022 participatory budget, with the municipality investing €90,447 in the new facility. Construction began in November 2024 and the skatepark opened to the public on 22 March 2025.
The design takes the form of an urban skate plaza, integrating the riding area into the existing park while preserving mature trees and surrounding green space. The layout features street-course obstacles, ramps, boxes and a miniramp, creating a compact setup for skateboarding and other urban wheeled sports.
The project was designed by Skate Architects and built by SpokoRamps, with the design developed in consultation with local skaters. Rather than using prefabricated obstacles, the riding features were constructed as part of the permanent concrete works, providing a durable facility with reduced maintenance requirements.
