Blacksmith Fork Skatepark is a 30,000-square-foot concrete skatepark in Hyrum, Utah, located within Blacksmith Fork Park. It was designed and built by Hunger Skateparks, with design work beginning in 2021 and construction completed in 2022.
The park is one of the largest skateparks in Utah and features a highly varied layout designed for flow as well as individual lines. Its main areas include an amoeba bowl and rockscape, flow bowl with a 3.5-foot mini ramp, high-line street section, ditch zone, Barcelona-inspired multi-feature area and ledge section. The bowl reaches depths of approximately 8.5, 6 and 4 feet, while granite rocks incorporated throughout the park create additional hips, ledges and transition features.
The project was developed in close collaboration with Hyrum City, with local input sought during the design process. Construction took almost five months and was completed in September 2022. The park opened to the public before the surrounding landscaping, lighting and other park infrastructure were finished, with the official grand opening planned for spring 2023.
