ABOUT SKATEPARK

Black Diamond skatepark

KJ Gardner Skatepark is a 19,000-square-foot concrete skatepark located on Park Street in Black Diamond, Washington. The current facility replaced the city's original modular skatepark, which opened in 2007 but was demolished in 2021 after years of deterioration and safety concerns. Designed and built by Grindline Skateparks, the new park was completed in June 2025 and officially opened the following month. The layout combines flowing bowls and transition sections with a large street plaza, creating lines for riders of different ages and abilities. One of the park's most distinctive features is an integrated concrete pump track woven directly into the skatepark rather than functioning as a separate loop. The facility accommodates skateboards, BMX bikes, scooters, roller skates and adaptive riders, and was developed through close collaboration between Grindline, the City of Black Diamond and the local skate community. KJ Gardner Skatepark represents a major transformation of the former facility and has become a significant action-sports destination in the Black Diamond area.
