Banbridge skatepark

Banbridge Skatepark is situated inside Solitude Park at 7 Park View (main entrances off Rathfriland Street and Bridge Street), Banbridge, BT32 3LG, United Kingdom. Located in County Down, Northern Ireland, the facility sits within a 10.5-acre urban parkland alongside the River Bann right in Banbridge town center. The outdoor skatepark is free to use and open to the public daily during general park operating hours from 8:00 AM until dusk.

Because it is integrated into Solitude Park, visitors have direct access to a wide range of civic and leisure facilities.Immediately neighboring the skate zone are children's adventure playgrounds, an outdoor gym, sensory gardens, an open-air amphitheatre, and paved riverside walking trails. On-site amenities include public restrooms, accessible changing facilities, picnic areas, and free car parking accessible via Rathfriland Street. Town-center shops, cafes, and the Banbridge Bus Depot are all within a short walking distance.

Solitude Park occupies land that was historically part of the town's linen industry hub and the former Banbridge-to-Newcastle railway line. Following a major multi-million-pound park redevelopment scheme in 2009 by the local council, the free-to-use urban sports zone was introduced alongside public art installations and community spaces. Maintained under the Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council, the site remains a focal point for local skaters, scooter riders, and BMXers across County Down.
