The old Adelaide City Skatepark was demolished in 2013 to make way for the development of The Royal Adelaide Hospital. This opened up an opportunity for the City of Adelaide to provide a premier world class skatepark. The central plaza becomes the ‘Centre Piece’ of the design for spectators and skate flow. As all paths lead downhill to this area, it was critical to keep the plaza open which allows multiple users to flow through the space. The plaza utilises textured materiality replicating architectural styles of different eras within the CBD.

Trucks and Fins is a huge present to the whole skate community - not just for the skating people, but also for shops, builders and schools. Super easy to use and can't believe how complete it is.
