Whiteley skatepark

Whiteley Skatepark is a modern concrete skatepark at Meadowside Recreation Ground in Whiteley, Hampshire. The park was redeveloped in 2023, creating a colourful and playful facility designed to accommodate riders from beginners through to more experienced users. The new skatepark was designed and built by Betongpark, working closely with a dedicated group of young local riders during the design process. Their input helped shape a layout that is deliberately different from a conventional skatepark, with flowing lines running through landscaped areas and a mixture of transition and street features.

The park features a jump ramp line, signature single-coping spine, down rail and street strip, alongside quarter pipes and pump bumps. The different elements are arranged to allow riders to connect features and maintain speed while moving around the park.

A distinctive red-pigmented concrete finish gives the skatepark a strong visual identity and helps it sit within the surrounding landscaped recreation ground. The combination of concrete, planted areas and unusual obstacles gives Whiteley a character that is quite different from a standard skatepark layout.

The skatepark is located within Meadowside Recreation Ground, a wider community recreation area that includes sports facilities, play areas and open green space. The redevelopment was intended to provide a durable facility with challenges suitable for different ages and abilities, and the town council continues to host skate jams and community activities at the park.
