Verwood Skatepark is a large all-concrete skatepark in Potterne Park, designed and built by Gravity Skateparks and opened in 2013. The park was developed as an extension to the existing BMX and skate facilities at Potterne Park, with the new extension officially opened on 12 May 2013.
The park combines street and transition elements, centred around a kinked bowl with two different depths, a tall ledge and a bowled edge that forms a spine. The main section features a jump box, volcano and adjoining quarter pipes, while brickwork elements add character to the layout.
The 2013 extension was designed in consultation with local BMX and skatepark users and added floodlighting, a youth shelter and new riding features to the existing bowl and dirt BMX track.
