In 2025, Nine Yards executed a comprehensive modernization of Skatepark The Promise, securing its future as a premier cross-border action sports hub. Serving riders from the Netherlands, Germany, and Belgium, the high-efficiency renovation was completed within an intensive three-week timeline. The project focused on stripping away worn materials and optimizing the existing interior landscape to deliver a structurally flawless, NEN-compliant indoor sanctuary.
The structural overhaul centered heavily on restoring an elite riding surface. The entire worn footprint was replaced with a premium birch plywood top layer, re-establishing an ultra-fast, smooth, and consistent ride across all transition lines. Existing ramps were meticulously repaired, adjusted, and refinished to ensure the multi-level layout functions perfectly as a coherent visual and physical whole.
Shaped in direct synergy with the local scene, targeted interventions were introduced to expand technical trick progression. The updated layout integrates five new custom street obstacles: two precision flat rails and three technical ledges. Far more than a simple training facility, this revitalized indoor park stands as a vital link in the regional urban sports network where multi-discipline athletic progression and street culture can continue to thrive.
