ABOUT SKATEPARK

The Leys skatepark

The Leys Skatepark is a concrete wheeled-sports park at The Leys Recreation Ground in Witney, Oxfordshire. The original skatepark was constructed by Bendcrete around 2003, and the company later returned to completely redesign and rebuild the facility. The new design was developed with community consultation, retaining some of the much-loved original features while introducing new lines and lower-level elements aimed at beginners. The redesigned park is intended to accommodate skateboards, BMX bikes, scooters and other wheel types, with a stronger focus on progression and inclusivity.

Bendcrete was responsible for the construction, with Phil Russell leading the design. The redesigned wheeled-sports park was completed in 2024 and is now open.
