ABOUT SKATEPARK

Telegraph Hill Community skatepark

Telegraph Hill Community Skatepark is a compact concrete skatepark in the lower section of Telegraph Hill Park, designed and built by Gravity Skateparks and opened in March 2012. The park was the result of a grassroots campaign by local young people and residents for a dedicated skateboarding facility.

Despite its limited footprint, the design makes effective use of the site, combining a miniramp with hip, floating ledges, a flat bank with block, pyramid hip and a small bowled corner. The unusual shape and creative arrangement give the park a distinctive character and allow riders to connect street and transition features within a relatively small space.
