The South Hedland Skatepark, located in Western Australia, is the largest skatepark in Australia, covering 3,300 square meters. It was designed and built by Convic and opened in 2015 as part of the South Hedland Youth Space. This world-class facility features both street and bowl sections, catering to all skill levels. The park is a key component in the revitalization of the South Hedland CBD, offering significant recreational benefits for youth and families.
In 2022, the skatepark underwent significant upgrades, including the addition of a state-of-the-art shade structure with audio-visual technology, expanding its rideable space. The total cost for the initial development and the upgrade was approximately $7.2 million, funded through the Town of Port Hedland and other partners.
