ABOUT SKATEPARK

Sooke Rotary Skatepark

Located on Throup Road in Sooke, British Columbia, this skatepark is one of Vancouver Island's longest-running skate destinations. Originally built in 1997 by the Rotary Club of Sooke, the park became a popular community gathering place for skateboarders, BMX riders, and scooter users. After nearly three decades of use, it underwent a complete redevelopment and officially reopened in 2026. The original Sooke Rotary Skatepark had reached the end of its service life, with significant cracks, deteriorating concrete, and safety concerns. The new park was constructed by Newline skateparks and completed in spring 2026.
