ABOUT SKATEPARK

Sarpsborg skatepark

Sarpsborg Skatepark, also known as Sarpsborg Skateplaza, is an urban-inspired concrete street plaza located next to Sarpsborg Stadion. The park was designed and built by Betongpark and completed in 2015, with the design developed together with legendary Norwegian professional skateboarder Henning Braaten and significant input from the local skate community.

The layout focuses strongly on street skating, with classic features including stairs, rails, ledges, curbs, pole jams, flatbars, manual pads, a flower box, banks and a wall. A distinctive black asphalt strip runs through the centre of the plaza, replicating a former local street in Sarpsborg and incorporating a large natural volcanic feature as part of the concept.

The skatepark is part of Dumpa Aktivitetspark, a larger community recreation area that also includes a running track, volleyball court, fitness equipment, boccia, cricket and other activities. The park is free and open to everyone, with lighting that automatically switches on when it gets dark and off at 22:00.
